HRTOFAMS-AIR
High-Resolution Time-of-Flight Aerosol Mass Spectrometer aboard aircraft
Baseline Instrument, Guest
The high-resolution time-of-flight aerosol mass spectrometer (HRTOFAMS) collects non-refractory aerosol composition measurements aboard an aircraft. The AMS is located downstream of a three-way valve that is used to direct air from either an isokinetic inlet or a counterflow virtual impactor inlet. A flag wave indicates which inlet the AMS was sampling behind at each time point.
