WCM-AIR

Water content meter aboard aircraft

Baseline Instrument, Guest

The SEA Model WCM-2000 Multi Element Water Content System simultaneously measures Liquid Water Content (LWC) and Total Water Content (TWC) (ice plus water). Liquid water content is measured from two hotwires of differing thermal conductivity, and total water is measured via a heated scoop design for capturing both liquid water and ice crystals. Ice water content (IWC) can be determined by subtracting LWC from the TWC.
