MERGEDAEROSOL

Merged Aerosol VAP

Evaluation VAP

The Merged Aerosol value-added product (VAP) simplifies scientists’ use of ARM aerosol data. The VAP consolidates multiple ARM aerosol datastreams into a single file for ARM data users. This VAP streamlines use of ARM data by cleaning up missing data, transforming all measurements onto a common timestamp, and evaluating the best measurements for data users when multiple datastreams exist for a single geophysical quantity. Data are presented on an hourly-averaged timestamp.

Scientists can use this VAP to streamline their aerosol data analyses. It represents a one-stop file for most aerosol-relevant quantities measured by ARM.

This VAP averages instrument datastreams to a one-hour time resolution to match the time resolution of the slowest instruments. Users who need faster time resolution will want to use the original instrument datastreams.
