Total Column IR Trace Species in Baltimore

9 June 2025 - 30 November 2025

Lead Scientist: Jason St. Clair

Observatory: AMF (ARM Mobile Facility 1)

The U.S. Department of Energy CoURAGE campaign, including the ARM Mobile Facility, is occurring during 2025 at a site in Baltimore under the ownership of Morgan State University. Our goal is to supplement the measurements taken by locating a Bruker EM27/SUN spectrometer at the site to make total column measurements of trace gases in the near-infrared. This EM27 location will be one of six locations in the D.C./Maryland region during summer 2025, and the network of observations will help us better understand emissions in the region, as well as how emissions interact with meteorology to affect air quality and other atmospheric attributes.
